I assure you it does indeed work. Click on the two horizontal lines and drag straight up.
Okay sorry yes you were right! I thought you meant the old cheat, like for Sims 2 that lets us lower and high relationship levels and skills, etc, by the drag of the mouse but this trick is quite nifty I'll definitely be using it a lot.
