I had my sim become a mixologist and then had her quit and become a doctor (so I could try out Get To Work). Anyway, I decided to try the culinary career again. She started at level 1 and was labelled a mixologist the whole time, but when she got to level 6 I still got the pop-up asking which career path I wanted and I picked chef.
I don't know if it's always been like this and I just gave up too easily or if came with an update. Either way discovering this has made my day.
I wish you didn't go back to lvl 1 if you come and go.
I wanted my sim to do the Renaissance Aspiration but her job is perfect for her and I don't want to change her and have to go back.
