He was fake flirting, then he whipped out the guns, shot, blew away the smoke, and re-holstered. I liked to bust a gut, I did. I'm gonna have to try that with some others to see if they all do it.
The same animation is used if your sim has high video gaming skill--an interaction called "impress with video game prowess" under romance.
The sim initiating the action pretends to pull guns out at the sim they're doing it to, fire, then re-holsters. The other sim pretends to get shot.
When it fails, the sim getting shot is like "no" and the one firing dejectedly puts them back :D
I love it, its one of my favorite interactions xD it seems to always succeed since half of sims' autonomy is to just play videogames.
