Yeah, and the sleeping is a little problematic, too. If one Sim has gone to bed earlier, they usually won't scoot over automatically unless you remember to tell them to sleep on that side. You have to have the other Sim wake them up and then they get up, then click on the back side of the bed and tell them to sleep there, then the other one can go to sleep on the front side. A bit of a hassle if you're not one to over manage. CC bunk beds are the same. You have to have the first Sim sleep on the bottom before the other one will leap onto the top.
