I’d really love to see the religions from The Sims Medieval to be modernized some and added into the main series, along with a few other mock religious options and related traits and aspirations. It would also be cool to have becoming a religious leader be an option, like your sim being able to start a church or what not.
I feel like it would add a new, interesting element to gameplay. Like, what happens when a Jacoban (one of the religion names from TSM) woman with the pious trait falls for an agnostic man who can’t stand organized religion? What happens when a Peteran guy brings his New Age girlfriend home to his conservative parents?
It’s just always struck me as kind of odd that different faiths have never made it into any game outside of TSM. Like, faith tends to play a big roll in a lot of people’s lives and how they choose to live it. So it would make sense to me for simulated life to touch on that in the light, playful way that we’ve come to expect from the franchise.
