Thinking about Getting Famous...
Sul sul, everyone. I own all the expansion packs for TS4 except Get Famous and Eco Lifestyle. After playing the free trial of EL a couple weeks ago, I decided to hold off on buying it for a while....

@VeeDub I can see myself creating celebrity musicians, artists, athletes, and authors, because I already have Sims who pursue those callings. I'm intrigued by the idea of creating Sims who are famous in niches like Fishing, Wellness, or medicine (human and animal). I'm thinking I'd probably have to get the drone and shoot video of them doing their thing.
@babajayne It's encouraging to read that the fans aren't that annoying and their behavior isn't terribly disruptive. I had images of weird Townies mobbing my B-list singer every time she tried to walk her dog, or a non-celebrity Sim's quiet night at the Gnome's Arms ruined by creepy stans and paparazzi swarming around a celebrity who happened to stop in. Like you, I enjoy having more BB/CAS items to choose from and more worlds to experience.
@WildIrishBanshee There is a 100 percent chance I'll disable the walk for my own Sim, unless I create a diva in the mould of Judith Ward. Judith will definitely keep her sashay. I'm familiar with Dustin and Dirk. My younger sister played Sims 2 a lot. When we came home from university, she and I would reconnect over it. I also remember some Brokes from Sims 3. I enjoy seeing the salutes to the history of The Sims franchise in my game, and I don't mind the alternate reality versions of the iconic characters as much as some Simmers do.
I'm very seriously considering making a bundle, with Get Famous, either Jungle Adventure or Dream Home Decorator, and either Cool Kitchen Stuff or Romantic Garden Stuff. Come to think of it, I might make two bundles, and pick up Eco Living, too. That would complete my expansion pack collection. :)
