Third Attempt @ Landscaping Photos, Please Opine

Have you tried shrinking the Jungle Adventure trees just one click smaller? I feel like they overpower the lot. Otherwise it looks really good.

Thank you for your input. I may move the Chicken Coop, but the diving platform can't be closer to the footpath, the pool isn't long enough at that end. As for the sun loungers, my Sims don't sunbathe. (If I can't, they're not allowed to, either. LOL) Skin cancer runs in my family, I was ordered out of the sun about thirty years ago. I don't miss laying around in the sun one little bit. Besides, where would I put the garden?

Again, thank you for your thoughtful remarks. I will strongly consider changing places with the Toddler play thing and the Chicken Coop. :)

I would but I have no clue how to do that! It was suggested early on (Round One Poll) that I add trees that were taller than the house and these were the only ones I could find. :)

I like it! But, maybe consider adding another set of steps on the side of the deck near the kids' play area. It is a large enough deck that another set of stairs further away could be a sensible addition. I too feel the jungle trees are a bit off -- size and world location. The family lives in a nice, but large, house, so to have trees that are taller might be a bit...much. When I build in each world, I tend to use trees that have been used in that world or would be similar to what that world's "zone" would grow best. Not that you have to do any of this.... :D

Thank you for your insight. I'm thinking that the first round of pictures inspired some to suggest the taller trees to help balance out the lot. When I had taken in all of the suggestions, I finally did what I meant to do in the beginning. I moved the entire lot closer to the front boundary and centered it on the lot better. This, perhaps, changed the need for the very tall trees. I did try to be discerning, agreeing that trees indigenous to a location, should be used, but I was stuck on the 'make the trees taller than the house' opinion.(Since this was suggested by more than one person.) I will see about arranging the patio tables to accommodate another set of stairs. It's a bit much to ask a Toddler, after all, to take the longer route, no?

You shrink them by holding Shift and ]. Also there are few trees that came with Cottage Living in the debug menu. Some of them are huge. I think there's an oak tree from the base game that's pretty big as well.

If they don't sunbathe, you could make an indoor pool so your sims could use the pool year round. You could also add some space for indoor gardening by the pool area. Regarding the chicken coop, you could make it a feature in your vegetable garden outside so you don't have a separate enclosure just for the chickens.

I think the front could use some larger windows and maybe some planter boxes. You could pull out the wall so that the windows come out from the house and are square, like dormer windows. The windows on the front of the house look a little small, so I would use the larger windows that came with Seasons. The window is "Wide and tall knotty". Are you using tall walls? It seems like there is a lot of space between the bottom floor window and the upstairs windows.

I would also switch the pool area and chicken coop. Like put the pool over by the steps and the chicken coop to the right side.

I would consider making the foundation stone.

I would replace the very tall skinny trees with some that are oak that came with Cottage living. You can find them by typing in bb.showliveeditobjects. I just think some bushier trees would look nice with the build.

;) You really need those lawn chairs, don't you. Where inside would you put the pool? Basement, maybe? I won't gut the inside, that doesn't make sense. But, I do thank you for your input, all the same. Let's just say we agree to disagree, okay?

No need for lawn chairs if you aren't going to use them. The pool could stay where it is, just covered. My input is just a suggestion, you asked for input, but if it doesn't fit your aesthetics you don't need to implement any of it.
