They get glued to the lot. Hiring a new one will just make two Nannies show up that one and a new one. Same with butler, it's a bug when they won't leave and return the next day, too...if you fire them. You should report it as a bug. It is a bug. You can leave the lot and come back and she won't still be there if you fired her. But if you try to hire a different one, two usually show up (so do butlers).
