This Has Been A Day and A Half!
Woke up after a bizarre dream this morning. I was visiting my old hs campus, only to find that the outdoor 'stage', known as the Senior Quad, had been sorely damaged. I walked up to it, put my hand on the concrete stage floor near the edge and just wept. A sign?
I went through my 210 emails, and got the answer I needed to find out what time I could download HSY. 11 AM my time. I had three hours to go. Got busy culling the emails I had no desire to read and then went through the 60+ that were left. Ooffdda Too many in my book. I found out that someone liked the build I made finding a way to have stairs up from the kitchen, yet hidden behind a door. So, first thing I did was go finish up the build to share it so that person, who asked could have it. Crazy-insane. So far, so good. About the time I had it uploaded, I received a notification that stuff had been downloaded to my game, did I want to restart now? So, I hit yes.
I decided against setting aging back on in this save. So, I went about, instead, having all of my school-aged kids resume school. That wasn't working. I took the Golden family into cas.fulleditmode and aged them down to Child, then back to Teen. Worked for two of the three triplets. :open_mouth: Sought help after a second try failed. I removed most of the mods I need, went back into the game. Voila! Resume school was back where it was supposed to be. I didn't save after I left the Golden household, knowing that without SNB and SNB-Bills mods installed, my Sims who had personal accounts would lose their money. Likewise my young Global Superstar would lose his songs, albums et al.
Erik wasn't at home when I had his next younger brother resume school. Silly me, this is where I lost my mind. I SAVED. Then I traveled to where Erik was and had him resume school. Erik had no money, and I couldn't recall how much he'd earned to date. He also didn't have his two Accolades, the one for the Meet & Greet and the other for Best Song.
I got out of the game and installed the other mods I was using, including some hair cc, since Kayleigh is bald at the moment. :open_mouth: Oh, I think Erik would love her anyway, but who wants to start high school like that? Come on, I mean, really?
Oddly, enough there was one student I forgot about. Brianna. After all the mods I needed were installed, I went ahead and clicked resume school, which was still showing! Before it just wasn't there.
The long and the short of it is, I ended up rolling back a save. It's now Tuesday of summer. The next week is Fall. Erik has his albums and his two awards and all that is necessary. Kayleigh has her long gorgeous blonde locks again. But, most of the day is now done, and they still haven't started school!
I could likely write a whole book about my life and have most of you roaring and rolling in the aisles.
Luckily, hubby won't be home for awhile, and I can still play. Phew! Dodged that phaser blast.
