Anyway, to get back on topic, I don't think it's a scam.
Maybe a little money-grabby with the SP and skimpy EPs so far, but not a scam.
Even if it's just cats and dogs, I am personally not bothered because I never played much with small pets in the first place.
I will be waiting to see how Dogs and Cats are handled in this sims iteration before making premature judgements about the pack.
