This is basically a scam....

Instead of moving forwards with the series expanding on the packs and adding more features of the same concept, we go backwards making them smaller and smaller for the same price. $40 F O U R T Y for dogs & cats. And you know what's the kicker? They will probably say something along the lines of 'We added enivormental traits that affect how they move, what they eat, how fast they learn' or some cra p and continue on saying 'We felt they deserved to be in a pack by itself to make them really fleshed out' to make it seem they are really in depth...

ETA: Yes I am depending on some retailer, the past listings have always been true and this won't be any different. Even if it is actually not real, then it gives the devs the idea that cutting packs into smaller and smaller will not please us.

This is probably a late comment but I just wanted to say that it is not true that they worry about feeding their families. The developers make between $91,000 up to $128,000+ per year. That is enough to help feed a family. There is however, limited employees as of right now in 2017 with 9,000 employees on record.

I wouldn't complain about the expansion packs but sadly, EA does have the opportunity to make these expansion packs/stuff packs exceedingly well with the programs and computers they contain. I know myself they can because I've seen their facility in Florida. They are thinking like businesses. They want to hopefully lure their customers in by buying, for example, The Sims 4 Fitness Stuff Pack just for the rock climbing. The vampire pack is somewhat cool but if you really stop and look at what the difference between those vampires compared to The Sims 3 vampires, there really isn't that much difference. Yes, you can actually fight other vampires with cool stunts but is an extra $20 really worth that?

This is solely my opinion and let's not forget Freedom of the Press. I just wanted to state my opinion on a few things and I know for a fact that I will not get The Sims 4 game. If EA recognizes the flaws and fixes the issues that they know they can fix then I will possibly reconsider my options. As of right now, $39 USD for The Sims 4 and the expansion packs is ridiculously expensive considering what it does. Rather stay with The Sims 3 and of course, The Sims 2.
