Tbh I do keep up with TS4 news just to learn about new stuff, but I mostly just hope that Paralives or some other competing game materializes because I'm just so done with EA, lol- I am really worried with the let downs as of lately, and this pack being so highly anticipated since TS4 launch (basically), that it's been built up in the player's mind so high that it will be a let down for a lot of people. From some posts/tweets it sounds like people think this is the thing to "fix" TS4 and "the only thing missing"... with that kind of expectation to live up to, I'm really unsure TS4 can deliver. Especially after IL and ROM. :/

Tbf, I tend to think they do better when they're aware that messing a pack up is gonna alienate a plumton of people, aka: the classic must-have packs. Sure, you could say/think the same about IL, but imho, the island stuff has never been quite as central to the experience as Uni, Seasons, Pets & Magic. And so far, none of those packs have really disappointed me (tbf I've never been into animals in TS much, but I tend to like these cats & dogs well enough), so I have a good feeling about uni. University doesn't require something quite as groundbreakingly new as animating new pets or whole seasons with separate weather systems (or, for that matter, swimmable oceans, which they seem to have some difficulties with this time around), so I think we'll see a lot more focus on gameplay. But yeah, I definitely have felt the uni people pushing their narrative above all others, trust me. You can't go anywhere on the forums or youtube or even reddit for the Sims without mention of Uni, even on discussions of new packs. It's been awful, and I'm sooooo glad it's finally going to be over.
