This new patch includes a "sell" option when farming. Depending on the gardening level your sim is in, they have three "sell" options, one of them being "Super Sell" which is unlocked with level 8. My sim was able to make around 14k just by selling all his perfect plants, which is great, because selling produce is the only way he makes a living.I don't want to say that "I feel like this hints to farming" because I am not about looking for hints that aren't there, but this is a pretty good farm-like addition. Now all we need is a new world, more farming activities, and we got ourselves a farming game pack. :D

As soon as Grant said they overhauled the gardening skill and polled on twitter what people would want in a farming expansion, my mind went NUTS with anticipation. I LOVE creating farms in sims 3, and still play it all of the time, but I haven't enjoyed gardening in 4. I've only played around with it a bit since the patch, but I really think I'm going to like it!

I think it could be a very real possibility, especially since they seem to want to bring us completely new content. I noticed some pig and cow wall art the other day while I was building....so I'm hopeful.

I think, with the overhaul, the poll and the knowledge they want to do something new, farming is a very real possibility. And honesly, I’d be so excited!

It might not be a full fledged expansion pack but I can definitely see it being a game pack atleast. And it'll pair well with Seasons and maybe Laundry Day as well.

i agree! the latest patch and seasons would both work beautifully with a farming ep/gp - good point about laundry day too. parenthood would be particularly complimentary as well.

yes @domina89 i was thinking of the character values being positively or negatively affected by children/teens helping out or avoiding duties on their family's farm and parents increasing their parenting skill while farming with them.
