I don't even dabble in family play, but these are great ideas
That conjure toy fail is hilarious, bonus points if they actually have to complete it.
(adding abit of my own idea into the mix) Idk if there is already a teleport fail in RoM but I would like it if when a kid or toddler fails the teleport spell they disappear off the lot for a duration, kinda like how sims get abducted by aliens.
The parents would get a strong tense moodlet called "Where's my child!?" and sims that hate children would get a happy one during it and when the kid comes back they get a slight happy moodlet talking about the little adventure they went on.

I really think the idea of magic especially for kids is cute..
Here's a couple. Toddlers have no control of their magic, but they may teleport around the house and magically make toys appear/dissapear.
Kid spells:
Complete Homework (if failed the homework is destroyed and their school performance goes down)
Conjure Toys (works like the conjuring food/plants. Click on the ground and a toy appears) If failed it conjures homework instead.
Teleport should be available for kids to learn
Teens should also gain the homework spell
