Hello everyone,So yes, I'm pretty sure this theme won't really be in the game but I'm still curious about your thoughts if we ever get a WHOLE expansion about Death.New Careers:- Grim Reaper (Freelancer)- Mortician/Undertaker- Therapist/ Grief Counselor: Active careerNew Skills:- Reaping Skill (if the skill is too low, chances are reaping souls won't work and the sim who is supposed to die won't :D )- Crafting Skill (This can include Pottery with Ceramic, Glass Fabrication, and Marble Work) which can include urns and coffins tooNew Lot type:-Graveyard/ Cemetery with special events depending on the Moon Phase (can be disabled in the game options for people who don't play with occults)New Occults:- Mummies or Zombies or Both (why not, depending on the reaping skill I guess?)- Create Ghosts in CAS + Possessions with various effects on the possessed Sims depending on the ghost's type- With the new lot, a new lot event may be implemented (zombies crawling out their tombs, hauntings, temporary curses, etc...) depending on the moon phase or the traditions from the Seasons Expansion Pack if the player has it (Of course as I said earlier, it should be an option only).Deaths:- Other emotions can kill the Sims (Death by Fear like in the Sims 2, Death by Boredom -which gives the fun need a purpose-, Death by Extreme Sadness)- No second chance (Death on 1st strike: option to enable in the game options): I'm kinda tired of having no surprise in the game when it comes to death, I always have a warning (even the fastest death, death by meteorite, gives a warning). But if players don't want their sims to die on the 1st strike, it should be an option in the game.New Social Event:- FuneralsI don't think a new world is necessary so they can really work on more details (well a secret/hidden lot would be nice though). Grim and Ghosts have been needing a makeover since the base game. There is no reason to summon Grim. Everyone knows people want to romance him and use him for offspring - yet his genetics are not only boring but broken. They should give him proper genetics to have creepy children. I want an omen child. And/or like you say, make it a career. Maybe not so simple as phoning up for the job, but something you work up to by growing a death flower, collecting a certain amount of graves and having a good relationship with a reaper. I watched Marticore's video on Sims 2 ghosts/zombies and it reminded me of 'problem sims'. I'd love another option to ressurect sims but with a warped personality like in pet cemetary. Meanwhile, Ghosts are just transparent sims. They shouldn't have normal needs and normal jobs. Maybe a smaller number of unique needs, like 'energy' that can only be taken from electricity (making lights flicker or breaking appliances) or by draining sims energy (makes the sim ill, and if done too regularly can lead to death) or emotions (removes their moodlets. If done too often, can give the sims a permanent numb trait where they find it difficult to feel anything). Dead sims - ghosts and zombies could have a 1-3 special careers only, like haunting, psychic's assistant, quality checker, crash test dummy, etc. Give them more individualistic powers and quirks for the different causes of death. And make them scarier overall, give them more creepy and distrurbing animations and interactions.Perhaps grim reaper sims can have babies with ghost sims. They need a special ghost woohoo - flying bed.

I would love to have a game pack about death and funerals. We could build graveyards and funeral homes, and we should also be able to create a holiday based on Day of the Dead.

I might be interested in an underworld theme with a hellfire and brimstone kind of deal.

  Same. I'm not an occult player, and don't want them in my game. Honestly, it would be great if we could check or uncheck a box to exclude townies in pack settings - whether it's Vlad or Bess.

I'd actually be pretty cool with this. I'd also like it if Funerals/Memorial services just show up on a sim's calendar 2-3 (1-2 on short lifespan, 5-7 on Long/aging off) days after a sim they have either a familial or strong relationships with (not just accquantainces, but I'd allow for negative friendships so your sim can go gloat) die, though they'd be optional to go to, like graduation. The trick is that they'd have to run autonomously, which could end up looking something like the classroom situation in High School Years.

This could probably ... maybe fit in a Game Pack rather than needing a full Expansion, but I'm not sure.

Though I'm with Luthienrising on Zombies need to have an off/opt-in switch. They're my least favorite humanoid supernatural creature (because they aren't villains, they're monsters.)

Definitely not a fan. Too much death in my real world to want it in Sims. However if a gamepack then I can not purchase so if it is actually a popular choice then it is what it is.

Instead of funerals though I prefer Celebrations of Life. Basically a party with family and friends.

  How depressing. Why not celebrate life! This world has enough death, evil, misery. Not what I want to do to relax and play a game at the end of a busy day. Will have to pass on this one.

    In my mom's culture, we also celebrate the dead cause they are considered as our protectors, it's not depressing to me. Death is also part of life, without death, we'll be overpopulated and will not have enough ressources for everyone, life without Death is impossible.
    Also, if it's a pack, it's optional, it's not for everyone, the same way dating is not for everyone, the same way having burnouts and midlife crisis is not for everyone, the same way vampires/ghosts/spellcasters/werewolves are not for everyone...that's the fun of the game.

If they died of hunger, maybe they will have that memory of being hungry and will show up whenever there is cooking in the house and they might react happily around the food. Maybe they will protect the food from getting spoilt if left on the counter too long. And if they try to eat it it should be like Bonehilda's drinks and spill on the ground. And actually being able to interact with the physical world and touch and move objects around should probably be a skill they need to learn.
