I do not have a sim self nor do any of my sims look like real people. But, way back in the First Sims, I recreated my whole family. Myself, my husband, and our 4 kids. I played them for about an hour before I determined that I could not handle the chaos of so many kids and deleted the whole family HAHAHAHA. I have never tried that again. Of course, I play with aging on so to recreate myself or people I know just to watch them grow old and pass away in a matter of hours I think would be too weird anyway.
In playing my Ancestors, I found it very painful. I had to use a mod to end my 7th great-grandfather's life, shortly thereafter my 7th great-grandmother (from the other side, not his wife). I've already resolved within myself that I will not end the life of my 6th great-grandmother when she finally deceased. History, I cannot change, but I can grant her more 'time' in my game. In my novel, she does pass away when she actually did and I continue on the path my 6th great-grandfather took until his end. He became a somebody, so his timeline is out there. I had to psych myself up when writing to get through Sarah's untimely death. Even reading while trying to edit it made my weep uncontrollably. So, I suppose I should hand out boxes of tissue along with each copy of the book. :open_mouth: Maybe I can make it a package deal …
