Timeline project: Bernard & Mimsy (again)

I'm trying to sort out the timeline of my worlds, and right now I'm looking into the haunting couple Lord Bernard Escargot Shallot IV & Lady Mimsy Alcorn.

I googled, but found very little about their marriage and the fire at the von Haunt Estate sims.fandom.com/wiki. But nothing about their origin, or who took over the estate after them. I mean, even if it was ruined in the fire, the huge lot in this traditional landscape must have been of interest to relatives or other highly rated families of the Windenburg area, or outside?

I think I read something earlier that the place was rebuilt by a group who wanted to show off Windenburg's history, but I find it quite unlikely that a group of anonymous volunteers could do this without the money from a rich relative or owner etc.

The Escargot Shallot family obviously was short of money as the estate was saved by Mimsy's money. Bernard might have been the last living member, but as their wedding was arranged, I suppose there was some other family members arranging it? I never heard of anyone arranging their own wedding... If his family name indicates two families, there should be some info on either the Escargot family or the Shallot family. Seems weird if neither of them had any descants - proves they were rather poor at arranged marriages, LOL.

Mimsy obviously hails from the Alcorn family, and they gave her a dowry big enough to save the Von Haunt Estate. Nobody sends their entire wealth with their daughter, so this indicates that the Alcorn family is still very wealthy. So - I assume they also had a line of possible heirs to that wonderful fortune? Maybe some of them would be interested in (and in line to get) the von Haunt Estate after the fire? If Bernard had no heir, Mimsy should have.

Regarding the timeline, the fire took place in 1898, meaning today is 121 years later. There ought to be some history during those 121 years, but where can I find it? I love the premade stories in this game, but it drives me nuts when I can't find additional information...

Any clues?

PS: I have watched the two vids on Youtube, but they only show links to cultural/historical elements, nothing about these two's family trees.

I don't think you'll find much information on the Shallot, Escargot or Alcorn families from within Sims lore as the Shallot and Escargot family names seem to be a reference to The Lady of Shalott poem by Alfred Tennyson, also known as "Lady of Escalot (Demoiselle d'Escalot)" in French and "La Damigella di Scalot" in Italian.

Escalot/Scalot are the French and Italian counterparts for Shallott, Escalot being very similar to Escargot. The Lady of Shalott is also known as Elaine of Astolat.

In the poem, Elaine has a father named... Lord Bernard of Astolat.

It would make sense to me that Lord Bernard of Astolat aka Lord Bernard d'Escalot was infact Lord Bernard Shallot I and that Bernard IV is a descendent of one of the brothers of The Lady of Shalott, as in the story she dies without children but has two brothers. Sir Torre and Sir Lavaine.

There is a good video here on the subject: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HT5rxn3bYms (SimFacts: The Real Story about Lady and Lord Shallot)

    The Lady of Shalott: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Lady_of_Shalott
    Elaine of Astolat: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elaine_of_Astolat

PS. In the extended legacies game I am creating... I have linked these characters as Bernard and Mimsy' ancestors and also created further branches of descendants from these ancestors to ensure that the Shallot, Escargot and Alcorn families are represented in the modern day.

Lord Bernard Shallot V (Bernard IV Cousin) is currently residing at Von Haunt Estate as Lord, with Sebastien Escargot II (Bernard IV Cousin), Mimsy Alcorn II (Mimsy Niece) and Milton Alcorn III (Mimsy Nephew) all claiming their legitimacy as Lord/Lady of Von Haunt Estate.
  • Simple version: It is 99% probable to me that Lord Bernard Escargot Shallot IV is supposed to be a descendent of Lord Bernard d'Escalot, the father of The Lady of Shalott.
  • I think Lady Mimsy’s story might be a take on this bit of English history:
