These are all really great ideas! Most of the other changes I'd like to see have already been mentioned here.
I would like to add more interactions between the children themselves. I'd like for kids to be able to play tag together, pillow fights and things like that.
While we are at it, kids should be able to interact with more objects too, like the guitar. Let the children garden too! At the very least water the plants.
