Tips to make friends faster

Level up that charisma skill. The cheerful introduction + a few friendly interactions should be enough to turn an unknown sim into a friend.

I get the incredibly friendly reward. With this, when you do a friendly introduction, the friendship bar starts a lot higher. Usually 1-2 friendly interactions until they are friends.

Get observant too. Knowing what subjects to talk about and avoid can help a lot.

Thank you! But I want my sim to befriend his current friends faster, so the introduction won't help :/

"...befriend his current friends" is confusing. Are you saying that you'd like for your sim to make friends with what the game calls acquaintances? If so, I highly recommend having your sim cloud/stargaze with the acquaintance. If it's a sim he's never met, then Incredibly Friendly will get the job done almost instantly.

Sorry yes . I meant I want my sims to befriend the sims they already know, so the introduction won't help.

Very much, yes. It's fast and leaves both sims with an Inspired moodlet.

It doesn't help your situation because you're already working on it with a Sim but I have discovered that if you have a Sim child complete the Social Butterfly aspiration to get that reward trait then get them the Gregarious from the Friend of the World trait and purchase the one friendly reward trait from the reward store you can instantly reach Friend status with someone by throwing a friendly introduction at them. It's crazy awesome when trying to complete that aspiration.
