Who says they aren't fixing it? They never announce bug fixes until they have them ready. When they do, they'll let us know.
It's literally not a "fantasy" to expect major bug fixes... it's actually quite reasonable to assume they would fix things. Then again, this is EA we're talking about, so I can't argue with you there.
Also, I knew we were getting this ridiculous "revamp" of the menu and loading screens. I thought it was ridiculous when they first announced it... however, I'm even more upset with the fact that they didn't fix the major bugs that have been occurring in the game. As for the unlocked items, they never said they wouldn't be usable until today... so that's not really unreasonable to be upset about either. I obviously didn't expect the cars to function... but the least they could've done (as I've already said) is make these objects solid, instead of just allowing our Sims to walk right through them as if they're nothing.
