Today's patch is ridiculously disappointing...
I was really hoping for bug fixes, but what do they give us instead? Let's see...
1) A home/loading screen that's extremely bright and hurts our eyes... also, looks like a child designed it as well.
2) Thousands of new objects that our Sims can't even interact with properly... and don't even acknowledge the existence of.
3) Clothes that many of us paid for, but have now been patched into the game for free.
Why do they keep giving us stuff literally NOBODY even asked for!? I swear, with all the time they decided to use on redesigning the home/loading screens to become much uglier than originally, they could've done something useful... like fix the many bugs that were given to us with 'Island Life'... but, no... they decided this stuff was a better use of their time.
Also, not to mention the recolors of the packs... those are cringe worthy as well... I know the symbols haven't changed, but using the same colors now makes it a bit harder to find certain items... even if we're filtering by pack, it's harder to figure out which pack is which without taking an extra couple of seconds.
As for the thousands of objects they "unlocked", what's even the point if we can't even use any of it!? Our Sims literally won't even acknowledge any of them... they're just gonna walk right through them anyway, so even using these objects for the sake of aesthetics is practically useless... I mean, really... if they're going to give us these objects to use, the very least they could do is make them solid objects. Otherwise, it's pointless.
I'm also very irritated with how they decided to release a few outfits from certain packs as 'free' content now... not only does that mean we paid for them, while others get them for free... but it also means some of our space is now wasted on duplicates of literally the SAME outfits we already had!
Fixing the game should be the #1 priority for them to be doing... which means fixing the many bugs that the game has (most notably, the restaurant bug that causes Sims to steal other Sims' food). They SHOULD be working on fixing the game FIRST... and THEN start working on (if they absolutely have to) ridiculous stuff in the game that literally benefits nobody...
I'm not necessarily angry that they updated the "look" of Sims 4 (even though I do find it very ugly and blinding)... I'm angry that THIS is what they decided to prioritize, as opposed to fixing the game to make it playable again. That's where my frustration comes from... they do this almost EVERY time! The Sims community will report issues relating to the game... and how do they respond? "Oh, here's some free clothes and/or hairstyles!"
