I am ready to go back to Sims3, as well. However, when I tried to reinstall it, I just get error messages. I have reached out to tech support twice, without any real help. Like you, I like an open world with the ability to create my own story and engage without restriction. I've enjoyed Sims 4 too, but I realize now all the features I gave up in the switch.
