Wait a second, we're supposed to be grateful for a company providing a luxury item and making a lot of money doing so? Really? Whatever happened to the days of companies being grateful to their customers for paying for their products.
I like video games. I love them. They're my main hobby. I'm glad I have a reasonably large selection of games to play. If I like a game, I'll buy DLC for it as well unless it seems to be a complete ripoff (stuff packs for DAI, I'm looking at you). I like Sims, and I'm glad they're continuing the game rather than stopping content, but that's not a matter of being grateful. That's a matter of they're putting out a product that I enjoy so I'm willing to spend money on it.
I have my doubts Sims 5 will be a thing unless it's on a mobile platform. Sims 4 coming to consoles will probably extend its life. I'm hoping that the sales are large enough that Maxis is given more people to pump out more content more quickly. But I won't be grateful if that happens; I'll just be happy.
Edit: Criticism is as important as good feedback. I think Maxis has done a very good job addressing a lot of the criticism about the game. I'm hoping if there is a Sims 5 for PC, it will have sims with memories and deeper personalities. But if that's not in the works /shrug. However, how on earth are they supposed to know what people want in a sims game if the only thing they hear is positive feedback?
