Toddlers make the game harder?

So I love that they changed the toddlers and made then more complex but my goodness it's a lot of work! My first time having them I ended up with twins and I'm finding it surprisingly difficult :( I wanted to try get as much done as possible before the new pack arrives but I find I keep quitting the game as trying to hold down a job and teach the toddlers everything seems impossible :s

Any advice?

Also really big tip with infants to make gameplay easier if you have growing together just use the play mat. They can play and sleep on it. That way all your sim needs to do is feed and bathe them. Infants can’t play in their beds/pens which is so annoying

Yes!! This! The playmat is a game changer and you can even have the parents do the tummy training in it. And what is the point of the--what ever it is called in english--thing you can build on the infant beds? The hanging thing? if they can't interact with it or even watch/view it? It just a decoration that costs moolah.

But most of my toddlers are just feral. I do love the highchair and yes I know that is unpopular opinion but I haven't had much trouble with the chair until one of the patch decided to bug them (that has since been patched). But I do the drag food to toddler from fridge as well as using the fillmotive cheat to up the hunger bar on an occasion.

What I do find challenging is the infants. Cheese Louise! Especially twins. Have they increased the odds of getting twins? Because before I had to give both parents the fertility trait and have them watch that darn kids show just to get twins and even then it wasn't guaranteed.

But I do find that having more than one adult/teen in household does help a lot and in my more richer household I have a live-in nanny (just a townie I picked up from the streets). Hired babysitters are also good as long as I have the infant and toddler 'tell' the nanny to service them.

So I later discovered that the "toddlers" I thought I had were infact infants! I'm hoping now they are toddlers they will be a breeze lol.

I also discovered the infants can do tummy time alone which I didn't know!
Like you, I never had twins without the fertility trait and yet a brand new game and first science baby is twins! What were the chances!

I'm hoping now they are toddlers it'll be easier and the adult sim can do more things but it'll be a while before I add infants again ?
