Really, toddlers aren't that bad. Sure, if you have a high chair it's bound to become a chair dance and can be annoying. But there's great roundabouts and ways to improve their behaviour quickly. As of lately I was playing a legacy which current gen had 10 children. All managed to max their toddler skills within the time limit (normal timespan) which they mostly can do on their own.
First toddler day after growing up I let them glide on the slide as long as they can keep up. That usually brings them to lvl 3 of movement and they can use stairs on their own. When they need, they get help in potty training until they reach lvl 2 so they can go alone. Once they max movement, I move on to thinking and they watch whichever parent that is at home all day (boring spam). Communication can be maxed in a few simple hours talking and babbling to a pluche bear. Make a parent read to them before going to bed each night and they'll be halfway imagination.
I always start with movement when there are stairs so it doesn't take time off the parents to keep them bringing somewhere. Then thinking because it reduces their tantrums and stuff.
Last but not least ofc food issues, let them take it from the plate. Can even drag it upstairs so it will save time!
Good luck into making your toddler's into skill producing machines ;)
Have 4 kids myself, it's all about efficiency :p
