I make sure there is plenty of food in the fridge, so the bundle of joy can help him/herself. The parents are allowed to interact with them for socials and bathtime. That's it. No high chairs in any of my houses, ever. Like it was said, avoid them like the plague (like many other objects sims obsess over). I've saved myself plenty of frustration by just keeping the caretakers busy with their own things, and taking care of the toddlers myself.
In defense of these Sim parents who lose their brains upon becoming parents --- that's not simply a game thing. It can be overwhelming, at first, until a person gets the feel for things. LOL
As for the parent watching, they are just obsessing over this little miracle they managed to create. :lol:
