- Just have them as kids play a LOT and their weight will shed off quick. My kids are always too skinny. :(
- I gave a toddler one slice of apple pie... Just one slice and he's visibly gained weight already ! :o
It's like my adult sims who eat only garden salad but still become overweight if they don't use the treadmill. And let's not even start with the crazy muscle definition they get every time they exercise, it doesn't look natural, it looks like bodybuilders on steroids.
There's definitely something wrong with the way sims' metabolism is coded and how they look depending on their weight and muscle mass. It's totally exaggerated. I hope it gets patched one day. - shellbemeSeasoned NoviceI thought my tots were looking particularly chubs.
- I think we need to sit our sims down and have a talk about the implications of childhood obesity lol :D
- I thought this was just me! My first toddler was fine, and her brother was just, oh boy he was a chunkster, I didn't pay it any mind because I thought it was cute, then he aged up and boy oh boy does he need to do a lot of playing to shed that baby chunk lol.
- I get so stoked when I have a kind of chubbo kid. They look more "normal" to me. I get concerned about my skinny kids (because they do play frequently), I have some lanky ass, weird teens.
- As soon as my toddlers age to child, I do the Rambunctious Scamp aspiration to keep them at a healthy weight if they were looking a little overweight as toddlers. Most of the time it's not an issue though.
- Swimming is an excellent way for kids to work off some baby weight. Either install one on your home lot or put on on a public lot (or visit one of the public ones if you have GT or CL) and have them swim for an in game hour or so once a day and they generally will loose it pretty quickly.
- All of the food in the game actually has a calorie count and some foods are higher in calories then others. The list can be found HERE unfortunately it hasn't been updated with like Dine Out or City Living items but some items (like the grilled fish dishes, fish & chips, & fish tacos) have no calories at all and won't make your sim gain weight (there's even a no-calorie cupcake for Sims with a sweet tooth).
I tend to find that just having a varied diet and throwing out excess cake is the best way to keep most sims at a healthy weight for their whole lives even without daily exercise. It also helps to wait until your Sim is actually hungry (ie their hunger bar is in the yellow or the red) before you have them eat also helps. - @3KNPen The fact that there's a calorie count for foods in the game is pretty awesome. I think it's great!
