- I have a similarish problem. My Sims kids are average/skinny as toddlers and children and when they age up to teens they are chubby.
- LoriTSpNew SpectatorAll of my unplayed children and teens are anywhere from chubby to downright fat. I noticed this happened after Cats & Dogs.
- I think there are genetics involved as well with some sims. I actually like the variety. I don't need my game to be entirely full of thin sims. (And I am a skinny person in real life :D). Working out does affect the body shape though, especially adult males. I discovered this by accident, but one of my vampires now looks like he's been illicitly using steroids instead of plasma...
He began a bit plump because there's a bit of plumpness in the family, but now he's muscle and not much else :/ So I guess it's like with real life. If the kid is overweight, it's time they did some exercise... ;) Maybe buy them a climbing frame? - Hm interesting, I'm not sure if I ever saw this happen...
- Ahhh! I didn't know that the foods had calorie counts! That makes SO much more sense. I just jumped back to TS4 after a year-long break of only TS3, and I couldn't figure out for the life of me why my entire family had progressively gotten fatter and fatter. It wasn't like I was overfeeding them...
Makes so much more sense now. The dad is a chef, and I made him make increasingly elaborate dishes for the family. He, his wife, and all 5 kids inexplicably got tubbier as he progressed up the ladder... I was seriously beginning to wonder if my game was glitched! Normally, my Sims just dine on cereal, so I never had that issue. "SageRainWillow;d-910858" wrote:
It seems all my toddlers are growing up pudgy. I usually feed them whatever the household eats. Has anyone noticed this? By teenager, I had to get their rumps on a treadmill.
Did you keep your Toddlers longer than usual? I had this with toddlers I had for a longer time. When they become a child you can give them the active child trait, that's like the active Sim trait.
(jogging is a fast way for sims to lose extra weight.2 or 3 times a day if they are very heavy it will take only a week or so they can eat whatever they want.) To keep off the weight once a week, Please do not overexert your sims they could die.- I'd just make sure they get just a little exercise every now and then. if you have the toddler pack, make a park or add some toddler playground items to the park. Or also you could just add a slide in your backyard if you have any room. Anything like that or just have them run around helps them lose a small amount every day.
- LoriTSpNew SpectatorI started a new save after I downloaded Cats and Dogs, I placed many of my own Sims from other saves as regular townies. All of these Sims came from a long line of slim and fit Sims ( I always keep a treadmill on any lot for Sims to use ), so when these same Sims have chubby or fat kids, it kind if bothers me.
- LoriTSpNew SpectatorWell that would be a heck of a lot of sims to play with! I keep several families in my favourite households so I can keep tabs on the families, using CAS to make adjustments to the offspring if needed. I sometimes take it upon myself to remake townies if the outfits are too outrageous or the sim is not quite to my liking, but with the rate the townies spawn it's a very daunting task.
- All of my toddlers are fat and it's getting annoying...all the clothes look horrible on them and they just walk and run soo slow! I heard having them "round around" for about eight hours can shed off the weight but It hasn't worked for me. I don't' think it's possible for them to be any fatter. I used to feed them if they weren't hungry because I use my sims to make series (like a tv show but made with sims and not publicly shared) so when I had to film a meal scene sometimes the toddler wasn't hungry but had to eat at the same at as the parents. When I figured out that's why they were getting so fat, I waited until the tot was hungry or would put her in her high chair with food but not let her eat it and instead throw a tantrum or cry just so have something to use for a meal scene. Anyone know how to get rid of toddler fat? I don't want to wait until they become kids. I haven't been allowed to edit them in CAS after creating them in CAS so I can't just change the weight. When planning her outfits it doesn't let me change her weight yet I can change her eye size- which I've done by accident many times. I was saving them in CAS and then replacing the one I was playing with the original skinny version of her but then I had to her to achieve all of her skills all over again.
