So happy a toggle is coming. I was really worried ailments would be annoying when the pack was announced and sure enough they were.

That‘s a good thing. I was afraid all my sims will have to learn the apothecary skill now.

Well, after the last patch none of my sims have actually gotten any of the packs ailments, only the old GTW illnesses... but I certainly welcome a toggle.
I'll be happy to see this. My current Sim has the skills to cure the Sims around her but it's a little off putting that she keeps having to cure food stall holders before buying food from them 🤢!

This was always going to be the best solution. My sim has had them almost constantly, with a couple of days’ reprieve since the latest patch tuned the frequency down. But the ones she’s had have been fairly positive (extra luck, extra simoleons), so I haven’t minded them too much. It’s the throwing up all the time and having to keep cleaning the toilet that eventually got to me. I think this will be like the rain and dust toggles for me. In some saves I’ll always have ailments turned off. In the rest, I’ll turn it off every now and then just for a break, before turning it back on again. I hope this comes soon.

I'm hoping contagious ailments will still stay 75% reduced. It was a really good fix and ailments have felt more balanced in my game after it. My stim still got an ailment after a new year's party, so that seemed appropriate. The ailments in their lauch state were unbearable. I don't mind the toggle, but doubt I'll use it.

Yeah! I won't have to vaccinate my sims from the new ailments. Now, if only there was a toggle to turn off seasonal sickness & giggle rashes.
So happy this is happening. I was pretty bummed after the announcement that ailments frequency was reduced by up to 75%. Especially since my sim hadn't contracted any ailments.

Honestly, they needed to do this, no matter how much I have been pretty good with this feature—for probably the average user—it is situational.
Plus, I hope this opens to door for the devs to create more toggles for pack features.
