Umm why would you buy a pack revolved around vampires if you don't want vampires in the game?
Most common reasons i here is some want the furniture packs to have additional sorta victorian gothic building structures etc. Others i hear want to play vampires at times in their game play, but like with aliens don't want them to be overly dominant in the social areas, as to when not playing vampire storylines not have their other ones interloped with vampires in them.
That makes no sense because the stuff in the game isn't worth 20 dollars to even buy and I would hope they won't have a toggle I bought the pack for the vampires. So your biggest solution is not to buy it because IT'S A VAMPIRE GP it revolves around vampires if you don't want them it's plum to buy the pack.
Eh that depends on the person. and I guess being a fashion/interior designing obession-ist it's natural apart of me <3 (and honestly $20 isn't a big deal to me . $60 is a different story lmbo). You'd be surprised how many people bought Supernatural, but actually never played with 'supernaturals' (the food and furniture was actually great). A lot of simmers actually do this. Heck I remember some people bought Generations and neever had families..the power of 'stuff' is really epic lol. Why do you think some people still buy soo many 'stuff packs' regardless of what they might not like? Welcome to the funny way of simmers :D it's been like this for years, but people have always made alternatives. Like I remember 2 days before Supernatural came out, someone came out with a "No Zombie spawn". And once that mod came out, everyone who didn't want zombies were like "thank goodness! I'll get this expansion pack now!" and I could imagine it also made Supernatural even more popular due to it.
Oh! Also, here's another thing I forgot to mention. A lot of simmers I hear who didn't want vampires had also bought this pack fooorr....the new town. Yes I actually heard a few comments on other sites about it. And in a way it makes sense. I mean in comparison to supernatural, the game gave: food, furniture, unique features, annd a town. Yes, Yes forgotten hollow is rather small-ish, but so are many places in TS4, some simmers are willing to take what they can get for extra home spots  . So, new furniture/build option + a new town to use them that feels about $20 worth to me.
Sometimes actually doing this makes the expansion/gamepack even more popular and would possibly allow EA to think that vampire/supernatural are even more appealing to simmers since soo many buy the pack, even if necessarily not all simmers actually played with them. They know now the pack itself is a good cash grab. So it's a win/win for vamp fans and EA right?
That being said, in this case I would never expect for a 'toggle'. I'm fine with a mod especially if I'd rather go see them in forgotten hollow than them see me in my town <3. Plus if their usually in disguise it's also a plus for my son incase he's not a fan of them  So I don't exactly see a reason for it. However I could totally understand why some may buy this but aren't huge fans of vampires.
