townie attacked my sim without provocation? why?

my teen was just minding her own business, i wasn't playing her household at the time, and this old dude just walks up to her and starts beating her up? she won, but it was pretty disturbing. i don't...

There's a lot of pubs in WB, lol. I wish this would have happened in my game in three years, it has never happened unless my cop was on patrol somewhere on purpose so he could give a ticket.
