townie attacked my sim without provocation? why?

my teen was just minding her own business, i wasn't playing her household at the time, and this old dude just walks up to her and starts beating her up?
she won, but it was pretty disturbing. i don't know why this happened, she'd never even met this guy.

    I love it when this happens! I haven't had full fights yet but sometimes a sim will start yelling at mine for no reason. Gives me a reason to use the mean interactions lol.

    Isn't this a new bug? Because I have a lot of Sims randomly fighting with each other, without any warning! Also family members! Although the relationship was good before the fight. To me this is very odd.
