Trainer

Question

My Sim was boxing in the gym when a trainer appeared and started to train him. I haven't ever had that happen before, unless it's been my sim who's become a trainer.
He's not a townie, and he's not among the currently not in world sims that pop up all the time.
I'd by lying if I could remember his name, but it was something like Aldo Hoppi - it's totally not that, but one of you out there might be able to piece it together for me, as I'd like to add him to my town.

Yay, he was there in his social panel. Afu is his first name, his second name begins with H and ends in ii, my brain didn't retain the middle letters from there to here   :D

I've seen lots of trainers at the gym. They seem to be game-generated townies, like DJs and bartenders, meaning they're created at random and they'll be under "Not in World."

I don't know why you couldn't find yours there, unless you have the game set to fill empty houses. If you do, it might have put him in a house somewhere.

Seems like he is a randomn generated townie to take the role as gym trainer. The save you’re playing, is age on? Like long enough that the original premades died a the game generated townies to take on the old roles. Sometimes they don’t appear in the manage household in manage world. If you really want them in the world, when you see then add them to your household and then move them out using manage world.

I have the game set to fill empty houses - which kit doesn't anyway. I've checked the homes and he's not there.
I play with aging on.
I did have cheats on at the time and edited him in CAS hoping I'd find a place for him, but nope. Gone!
As you say, he's obviously just a random like the bartenders etc. Shame, he was fun! I did age him down, so maybe he'll be around for awhile.
