Sorry I have no clue. I didn't desire to purchase this pack, nor to even give it a try.

The green initiatives and modern NAP clear the trash in evergreen harbor. You can shift click on a mailbox and instant enact any NAP. Also as long as you turn them off you should see nothing from them unless you vote them in with your own sim. There is a townie in evergreen harbor who wears a bag anyway.

@Caltxcat We have been given a separate save for the Eco living trial and it wont affect our other worlds - so how do you get rid of the rubbish piles in Evergreen Harbour? I tried clicking on them but nothing was happening? thanks :)

@foxybilly Not sure of any cheats to make then go away, but I think gaining influence and getting the green intitative passed in the neighborhood cleans things up, I haven't played much with that aspect. Carl's sim's guides might have a guide on that, from what I heard there are several stages of the process.

I actually played the Eco lifestyle trial for a little bit, thankfully it is in its own save file.
I used one of my Sims I already made, who I have named Yuki Snow, and used her as the test Sim with Eco Lifestyle. Yuki is a Sim that I use for tests, like genetic tests, and now for this trial, she was actually a test herself. She was a result of an Elsa I made, and a Sim I downloaded from the Gallery. i chose Yuki, because I didn't want to spend time making a Sim that would just be used for a trial.
Anyway, back to Eco Lifestyle, I changed her look with the Eco lifestyle CAS stuff, and moved her into the world, where she lives in the nicer part of the area. I had her also join the Eco Lifestyle career. I have played her through a promotion, but that is as far as I got with her, because she can't do the voting thing yet.

Hi @foxybilly if you vote in the NAPs Modern Development and Green Initiatives, the garbage will go away and the neighborhoods will look much more beautiful!
These NAPs are only available in neighborhoods within the Evergreen Harbor world.

It's smart to be wary of those NAPs. Some of them are ... colourful to say the least.
My mid-career (rank 6 or 7) doctor sim went to buy some coffee, and was attacked my some random townie git. Fortunately he's as strong as a mallee bull so he won that fight. That sim better watch out if he ever visits the hospital and Doctor M is on duty.
If you have the NAP called Green Gardening active, you can rapidly get a bunch of the influence points you need to vote in the weekly planning. Clean Energy Production is another pretty good one, because after you chuck a solar panel on the roof, the influence just trickles in. You also save a bit on power bills which is nice.

I bought Eco Living and feel that it adds a lot of options to my game. Especially the items that help lower the costs of my sims' bills! LOL I use the windmills and solar panels, water collectors often, especially on my farms with Cottage Living. The game has the toggles to shut off the NAPs which seems to be the biggest complaint with the game. I don't use the NAPS unless playing a game in Evergreen Harbour and decide to challenge myself with all the gameplay that comes with the game. I have never regretted buying this pack.

So you haven't experienced any NAPSs at all?
I removed it mainly for the NAPS. But I did like community spaces and some of the Eco features.
And there are also some clothing and hairstyles that I like.

And now that we have Home Decorator, I really would like the furniture making machine.
My decorator sim will also own a home furnishing business. It would be cool if she could manufacture her own furniture pieces.
I could also see some of my wellness sims setting up in a community space for Yoga and Meditation classes.

But I don't want to see sims with bags on their heads, home invasions and home theft from friends, free love, or inventories filled with clay and future cubes. If I have to go around to every neighborhood fixing unwanted NAPs, I would rather not have the pack at all. But if I can avoid all that and not have to worry about it, I would put the pack back.

Yeah you can disable the npc voting right after you install the EP and you won't have to deal with any of the NAPs. I did that and haven't tried NAPs at all yet. This option still allows you to vote for and decide NAPs for neighbourhoods with your own sims. I think I may try that some day and pick one or two NAPs for some neighbourhoods, but I haven't desired to do that yet.

I bought EL mainly for the CAS and BB and it has been nice. I maintain the eco footprints with solar panels and wind turbines, or chimneys (if I don't want the neighbourhoods to be too green) and I have used the dumpsters and insect farms. I still have many things to explore with the pack though I have owned it quite some time already. The latest thing I tried is the fizzing station and it seems to be useful when my sim tries to please the specters from the Paranormal stuff. I also haven't tried candle making yet, but I think it'll make a nice hobby for a sim who is into beekeeping :smile: I'd also like to try the fabricator, but none of my sims have been interested in that yet.
