- SharoooniaNew SpectatorMaybe it's just not the game for you if you're constantly feeling bored? Why try force something that obviously isn't working?
- Get one of those random picker apps for your phone or tablet and fill up two or three of them with random events such as:
Twin sibling comes to town (Roll for good relationship or bad)
Grandparents visit for Weekend
Throw party for co-workers
Sim cheats (Roll for which house/sim this effects, you can even roll if they do or don't get caught)
Sim dies (Time to break out the deviousness in yourself. Can even roll to see how they die)
The list goes one, you can even add "Go on vacation to.. (Roll for where you go, how long you stay).
And you can do money ones (I have several)...
Tornado hits house (Either pick a room, or random roll a room, note starting funds, completely delete said room, and subtract funds - regardless how little cash your sims have - and redo the room, preferrable, a piece at a time, to make it remodel realistic).
Gambling addiction, sim loses ____ money (Roll for it).
Just spend a day writing down and thinking up random events to happen in your game. If you don't have a phone or tablet, use notepad on your computer, number them, then use random.org to pick. It takes a little bit to set up, but I find anytime I'm having a bit of a slow down or my game is dragging, throwing a couple life events at them perks my playing up.
Also, don't forget about clubs, they can help add a bit of fun, too.
If that don't please you, try a new challenge, the Ultimate Sim is a fun one. You max every skill in the game and complete all aspirations. It's a good one if you don't like a lot of rules.
Anything to step out of your comfort zone or away from your current play style.
I have varying play styles. I play grindy (as I call it) where I just want to play challenges and grind out the skills and meet the goals, or I play creatively, where I just make sims and throw a ton of events at them and let them tell the story. And I play in-between. Where it's a challenge, but it lets me have creative freedom to make each sims story my own (Such as BaCC. That is my favorite Creative Challenge I've found). - I was playing the same way but with different families for a long time. I started to get a little bored too. Did the 100 Baby Challenge which was more fun than I thought it would be and now and trying to have my sim complete every collection which I am really enjoying.
- elliebretonSeasoned AceWhy not look in the 1000 fun things to do thread? https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/959581/1000-fun-things-to-do-in-sims-4/p1
- All of these suggestions seem pretty good, but many of them I’ve tried before and didn’t work. What usually happens is I come up with an idea for a family, create it, and once the baby is born i give up on the save and never play sims again until I get a new idea. Any suggestions to fix this endless cycle?

Honestly? Step out of the cycle. You're trying to force yourself to enjoy something, and that never works. Alternatively, maybe you really just enjoy making households? You could do that alone, and share them for other people to use. It's a legit way to "play" the game.- wildirishbansheeRising NoviceTake a break? Sometimes we just need to step away for a bit.
- I'm in the same boat, I have less hours than dollars I've put into the game. I've attempted to deviate from my routine I tried other challenges (note challenges that dont have a novel for rules) that I usually wouldn't bother with, and no matter what I still only played for a few minutes. Added mods (MCCC and a few others I can't name) and that helped a little but its been a month since I last played, might just be time for a break. it happens. But I have noticed that even the youtubers who play are finding it difficult to find things to do as well in SIms 4.

Hello simmers, I know many others have already discussed this, but I keep getting bored with sims 4 and am wondering if anybody has any ideas to help make it more interesting. Thanks ?
Do you have EPs, GPs and SPs? This can help in many ways. Once GF came out, I started playing every day. This is what I was missing the most from Sims3. Parenthood also is fun. I really enjoy all ages of the children, now. Trying to make my Sim parents do a good job raising their brood. I make small goals for each Sim in the family and do my best to get them there. This can be tricky, but I'm the type who needs a challenge. ;) - You could play rotationally?
Or instead of just playing families with kids you could try playing sims with different lifestyles. Criminals, celebrities, single parents, homeless sims, rags to riches stories, corrupt politicians, vampires...
