Thanks everyone! The overall thing I'm hearing from everyone, including a few friends who have it, is that it's a very beautiful world to experience and the Temple is a big hit as well. My biggest fear that prevented me from getting it is that I feel that their might only be a limited number of things to do and didn't want to buy it only to get bored with it after like a week.
Honestly don’t think of it as something for your sims to do but more like a lifestyle. Before this pack I was worried as well. I thought ok I go there beat the jungle then go home. But that is not the fact. If you have outdoor retreat I can understand why you’d think that as once you do everything time to leave. This pack feels 100% different.
My sims went there expecting to leave in 2 days but instead they couldn’t get that far within the 2 days. They caught on fire, got attacked my bees and ran out of food by the 2nd passthrough. The marketplace doesn’t always have what you need nor enough of what you need. Your always thinking about supplies and being careful when to use them. My sims had to return home a few times after getting worn down from hunger, bug bites and curses. When we finally got to the temple on the 3rd day it took us another day to finish it and we missed a lot of excavation sites because excavating takes a LONG time (or maybe it’s just something I’m imagining) then they spent another 3 days at the rental uncovering there treasure and making sure there not all fakes. Plus there was a stray dog I didn’t want to leave behind. The thing is unless you run out of things to find or finding treasures and old relics isn’t your thing there is always something to do. I heard the maps change after a while not sure how often I haven’t run out of things to find but I guess it also depends how you play.
