I don't think the ''old careers'' are revised at all. Most likely, from what I have read and what we know at this moment, is that the fame and reputation thing is a seperate system.
I don't know who it was, but I remember one of the Guru's also saying that your Sim can have a reputation without being famous.
Sure, the ability to be famous with previous careers is nice, but I highly doubt they will change anything or add any gameplay objects to the old careers. It's just a system, nothing more.
The only brand new thing is acting, which this pack seems to be all about.
For 40$ imo they could have gone the extra mile and add onto the already in game singing/entertainer career (adding recording studio etc) and maybe a modeling career.
Sure, they can make packs about Singers/Bands and Modeling in the future, but I highly doubt that is ever going to happen. There are tons of stuff the game still needs, and if they try to add everything people want, 3 years isn't that long (or they need to start pumping out EP's and GP's left and right.)
Still no excuse to me that they seem to be cutting corners with every EP when they can. The idea is always nice, but the way it ends up being is shallow and very small. But yes, that is just my opinion.
