Sometimes, the Sims can get pretty fantastic at times. I mean, we got magic, vampires, aliens, a walking scarecrow, and those creepy gnomes, for goodness’ sake!

I’m getting a bit tired of being told to not expect much from a Sims game. I had tons of enjoyment from the Sims 1 and Sims 2 games, so I don’t think I’m being unreasonable for wanting more cool stuff in a game series that used to give us awesome stuff.

Apparently, I’m asking for the moon here.

There was not a sewing machine in Superstar. There was a chest of drawers the sim spun into a high fashion out fit and walked weirdly down the cat walk sometimes - that was all there was to it outside of a few photo shoots in front of a backdrop screen. It wasn't much in depth really. I liked the Singer the most myself - at least there was something to that.

Okay, I’m holding my temper right now. It’s getting frustrating trying to communicate what I am asking for here.

I KNOW there was no sewing machine in Sims 1. There was one in Sims 2, where we can make some little items with. I just think, in a sequel, we could go beyond that, and use a sewing machine for clothing or some kind of fashion career.

In the end, I still want the modeling, the catwalk, the fashion. The sewing machine is just bonus, and I want one for a hobbies pack or fashion pack.

I do not think I am asking for much here. I can wait for a pack for this stuff, but I’m waiting to see what Get Famous can offer me, if they’re not offering me the Superstar content (that I liked!!!).

I personally liked the modeling career in Superstar, so I’m waiting to see if the acting career can at least satisfy me while I’m waiting for a cool fashion pack.

Right now, I’m more interested in the fame and reputation systems, but I’m not seeing a reason for me to pay 40 bucks for those systems. I need to see if the one acting career is worth taking up one pack...

I totally understand why it will be great if we can have more careers related to getting famous.. I do agree... besides than singing, acting... being a model is also one of the careers where the Sims can gain a fame or reputations.. In fact, there're a lot more careers out there too... It is a nice idea if we can have add on pack, something like free time/hobbies as you mentioned... They could be famous for what they enjoy doing too.. because, why not?

I think, for now, we need to wait for more info on this...we haven't heard or read much about it, yet.. :)

Yeah, there are some careers that provide fame, so I’m waiting to see how the fame and reputation systems work, so that those systems can be used for the other careers.

I’m really hoping the other fame-like careers are going to be put into other packs, and that this Get Famous has enough content on its own to justify it having only one new career. (Until I see other careers having actual new stuff, I don’t consider them “new”.)

I just... really don’t want to end up buying a rip-off pack that’s being chopped into pieces, is all.

Here’s hoping it’s good and the that the new world is also awesome.

Yeah, couldn't agree more.. the only things that confirm for the fame is the ownership for retails, restaurants or vets are not contributing to it..
