For me. TS4 has come a long way. I used to not like TS4- it was my least favorite of the series. However. CC, Toddlers, and Seasons have rescued the game for me. I LOVE TS4 now! ..and can't wait to see what comes next !!!!
... that being said. There are some mods I play with in game, that I would love to see added.
* Slow Dancing, Salsa Dancing, Couple Dancing... this is so cute - and Idk why its not been added yet. IF this had been added in Get Together, I might have actually bought that pack, JUST to get it. :D
* The ability to CHOOSE if a toddler goes with you to a community lot. (ALL OF THEM) - I'm currently, on the hunt for the updated teleporter mod, so I can take my toddler out to restaurants with me. There is no good reason why toddlers shouldn't be able to go! Same thing for vacations! It really upset me that babies are chained to their bassinets. That was bad enough. BUT. To then chain toddlers to the house (for the most part?) - I was really upset about that. Sure, some Simmers don't like Toddlers, but the majority of us do. If needed, add a lot trait that blocks toddlers from being able to go to certain lots.. that way, everyone is pleased. Those of us who want it, are modding it.. and I again, see no good reason why its not allowed without mods.
* I already hinted at this, but can we please get babies unchained from their bassinets? I don't even need to be able to carry them around. (I mean that would be nice) - but just some nursery items.. they can teleport there. That would be fine! A few different outfits.. just something to make them seem like Sims.. and not objects. I would love to have the option of putting the baby strapped in a bouncer on the kitchen table while my Sim cooks dinner.. in a swing rocker, in the living room while my Sim watches TV.. on a playmat on the floor.. I mean, its just lacking compared to previous games.. in all regards.(Minus TS1- which is actually the exact copy of how babies act, except there are more actions in TS4) - I wish I could do this myself! With the Crib mod, we have "freed" the baby- but we still need the furniture! :( All I can do is re-texture unfortunately.
* True black hair. "Clayified hair" was not my favorite when I started playing, but now. I love it. I prefer it. BUT. I cannot stand the "blue-tint" black hair.. its unrealistic, and it looks fake. This has forced me to look into alpha hair - which again, I don't prefer. Can we please get true black added ? (Also looking for a mod that can address this)
* Funerals. This is a long needed, waaay overdue need in ALL the series! We have NEVER had an option to have a funeral... why? We are playing with virtual people who die. We need to be able to grieve with our Sims. (Yes, I get attached to my Sims. Don't judge ;) ) - Last night, I was playing my Sim self, and my Sim dad died. (I was gutted !!! It happened at my Sim toddler sons birthday party!!!! - UGH. I can't have any parties without someone dying.. Sim Gma died at Christmas.. Sim Gpa died at Thanksgiving) - But anyway- So I already had the urns from Grams and Gramps - so Daddy dearest makes 3 urns now. I started thinking, hmmm.. maybe its time to lay them all to rest. I wanted to have a funeral, I wanted to have a graveyard - There is a funeral mod, but its broke :( But I did go ahead and find some AMAZING funeral content from ModTheSims and AroundTheSims4 (Muuahhh you're both amazzing!!) - and was able to make a decent graveyard.. BUT- WHY don't we have funerals ??? Sure I can invite all the family to the graveyard, start grieving and hope they all follow suit. But why. It should be added.
* And while we're on the topic of "events" - we need life moments and events back for our Sims. (I'm fully confident this will be added in the future, I hope so at least) - The ones I would like to see are, slumber parties making a return. Prom returning..(Please not in the Winter. Nothing worse than spending time planning the perfect outfit for Prom, and then the Sim just changes into their Winter wear) It would be cool to see our Teens getting invites to the high school sports game on Friday night.. meeting new people.. hanging out with friends.. that would be cool. Please lets see a return of Graduations - It would be cool to see a Senior party after graduation too! (Meaning a rabbit hole trip with all the teens to a water park or a carnival or a trip somewhere) Baby showers.. would be fun- if we got our babies unchained, and had new baby items. An engagement party would be cool.. though the wedding party, kind of addresses that. A honey moon would be nice. An actual event.. so your Sims aren't irritated and trying to leave every 2 seconds, and upset they're sleeping on a community lot. HA! :D .. I wasn't a huge fan of the mid-life crisis.. that drove me crazy. :D (Ohh Jimmy has been married to Jenny for 30 years.. and now he randomly wants a divorce.. even though their relationship is perfect. :/ If we get Mid-life crisis back, more realistic please. Wanting a car. (hint hint) - and changing their hair, get in shape, get a tattoo, those are realistic, although if the couple is on the rocks- maybe they do want to separate. ) And I guess for the Elders, it would be nice to have a way to get our affairs in order. So we set up your last testament and will, decide who will get the money when you die and your stuff, your pets (OHHH I was SO MAD when my Grams died, while I wasn't playing the family.. and her cats disappeared !!!)
.. but ok, if you got this far, let me know how you feel !! I'm going to go back to my search for the transporter mod now! I love the Sims 4, and the Dev team is amazing!! These are just some of my ideas! I know the Dev team has said we have LOTS still to look forward to before TS4 retires - so i'm for one very excited, and can't wait to see what they have planned !!!
