There were several Easter Egg type references in the gameplay trailer. Did anyone catch the similarity between the new cuckoo clock death and a recent Midsomer Murders episode? 😨 🤣
Sims 4's new Death by Cuckoo Clock Malfunction!
Midsomer Murders - Season 25 Episode 3 - Death Strikes Three: When a booby-trapped cuckoo clock kills a guest at Godley Manor’s engagement party and turns the celebration into chaos, Barnaby and Winter must uncover a web of hidden pasts, family feuds, and ticking secrets before the killer strikes again.

Lol, I only noticed second time watching the second trailer that Nancy Landgraab is sat on the throne at the very end.

Okay, I'm going to voice my opinion now... I like that they separated the Nobility and Legacy gameplay trailers. While related, I think each one has a different audience, and hopefully (next week) we'll see the difference.
I also noticed that there was a decent selection of swords on the wall. But I guess hoping for the associated variety of swordswork styles would be too much. :D

I remember the sims medieval had a frog quest. If you chose the romantic approach, the frog could be male or female. I don't remember if this was determined by the gender of the hero or by a pop up. Anyway, I think a pop up 'does your sim think this frog is a boy or a girl' could give the players a choice.
I also wonder if they'll get a sim according to thier gender preference.
The trailer is over 3 minutes long.
Or Princess?

So, now that I've finally seen the trailer...
- I'm fairly neutral about the theme/gameplay options. I was not particularly yearning for something like this, but I know others were, so I'm happy for them. I'll likely dabble in the gameplay, but it's not something I see myself using often. Still, I think it's great for them to expand their horizons with new themes if this is not in fact the last pack when there are still a few really basic/widely desired things that are missing. If it is, I am going to hold a grudge, and that will impact my future plans with EA. *Mind you, I am not holding this against the devs, as I know they are always bubbling over with creative ideas, and seemed to have lots of future plans on the back burner, so I suspect it would be disappointing for them, too.*
- It's still unclear how exactly the legacy system will work across other worlds, so I am curious about that. For example, I do have a Japanese-style palace that I downloaded from the gallery that I've been using as a museum in the top/snowy neighborhood of Mt. K, so I might have consider converting it to an active royal palace.
- The new world looks absolutely gorgeous, though I fear the neighborhoods will be small. I always love an oceanfront world, though, and I'm assuming at this point they know they need to give us swimmable water and an opportunity to at least use the existing boats.
- On a related note, I am happy to finally see more African representation, and what we've seen so far looks really good. I do still think it's a little shady that instead of a full world, there is only a neighborhood.
- I'm in love with the jewelry/crowns/hairstyles, and some of the clothes look really nice, too.
- I can see myself using the swordplay system for other purposes as well. Would be nice if we could have an afterschool fencing club, but I suspect that will be skipped, as there have been several opportunities that have been missed with other packs to expand the school club system. But, at least I can use the Get Together club system, and now Adventure Awaits to set up a fencing camp as well.
- I'm not holding my breath, but there's always a slim chance they could sneak in a few other small skills we've requested forever, like ballet or glassblowing, as they would be a good thematic fit, in my opinion. Again, I highly doubt it, but it would be nice.
- I'm curious to see what new recipes we get. Also, as always, I am wishing for new harvestables, though I know better than to get my hopes up.
- I don't want to get over my skis until we see the number of lots, but I can easily imagine that this world will need a vineyard/wine shop, a jewelry store (complete with crowns), riding stables, and a royal provisioner.

In real life, I’m not particularly interested in modern-day royals. However, I absolutely love watching TV shows or reading books about historical royals (like The Tudors) or fictional royal families. That’s why I think I could genuinely have a lot of fun with this pack!
That said, for it to really work for me, I hope the pack isn’t too realistic. I’d much rather see something a bit exaggerated, dramatic, and over-the-top!
So far, in the trailer, I can see African and European lineages, as well as pirates/thieves, which is really interesting. But I truly hope the creation tools are flexible enough to allow things like vampire dynasties, alien royal families, or even futuristic legacies using the styles and assets already in the game.
Some positive points I see so far:
- The throne looks like a brand-new type of object. Great idea!
- Sword fighting looks interesting, but please… I really hope there are new animations and not recycled ones from Get Famous.
- The clothing and hairstyles are absolutely stunning!
They keep mentioning the word “Legacy”. I’m intrigued, and I hope this means improved family lineage
