We're getting teleportation objects?! I know we have teleportation as an acquired ability with certain game packs, but having an object anybody could use would be so cool. I remember in sims 2 I had modded star trek teleportation pads. Putting a teleportation pad outside of the bathroom was super useful if you had an elder male in the house.

We already have teleportation. The debug items in ream of magic have 3 sets of match gates. Unfortunately they have a very specific style and are difficult to integrate in anything that's not supposed to look magical. These gates only work if both ends are placed on the same lot.
Werewolves also has a similar system. These are fixed locations in the world like the potties or the sewer entrance. But there is one closet in buy mode that can connect to them. These have a chance of teleporting your sim to another place like midnight hollow, if you have vampires.
But more choices for teleportation objects is interesting.
