Do we know what happens in a new save if we do not play as the new families? Will a sim/ family be chosen as a Monarch or will they all die out with aging on without a Monarch if we do not decide who get the title/ kingdom?
Also, do we know if sims created by the game will get generated to be "co-workers" in the Noble career if there are not already enough sims to fill the roles?
I assume there will have to be co-workers for some things in the career... I assume (again) this is not an issue in the new world since there are three families working towards it, but in others?
Or maybe that is where the Dynasty thing comes in, like how Landgraab and Goth will be made into dynasties, maybe someone from there will automatically join the Noble career if you start working on it in Willow Creek or Oasis Springs... Hm
I really prefer the older version of the Goth family (especially the kids) since I'd seen them around in my saves for years, even though the new Cassandra is pretty as well.
I really hope, depending on how this dynasty thing works, that it is not too much work to make the older version a dynasty as well, whatever that entails.
I really hope there will be a BG update where we can region lock sims (finally). Then I will be inspired enough to probably make a Japanese royal family in Mt. Komorebi, and maybe a mermaid royal line in Sulani. I think a feature like that would be the most exiting about it all (if it will even be a thing ofc)

From the discord Q&A
Question: just rehashing this, can you opt certain worlds out of having a monarchy or do they all have one automatically?
SimDevSarah: Whilst all Worlds (apart from vacation worlds) have a Kingdom Manager as long as there are no Nobles in the world you don’t have to play with Nobility features
And
SimDevAzure: Howdy! Things like Noble Decrees only happen in worlds where Noble Sims live. The Noble Sims themselves have to choose and push those decrees (your choice as a player).
No idea what happens if the current monarch dies, but world can exist without nobility/monarch. I suppose if there is no heir, we need to create the next monarch.

Question: Does this apply to never played sims too? Will your sims never have rivals unless you make them rivals?
SimDevSarah: Noble Rivals can appear randomly as Sims progress through the career unless they reach level 9 and the current level 10 will always be their rivalNoble rivals appearing randomly sounds like generated co-workers.

I don't think they have responded to the idea that royal sims might be restricted to their realm in any particular way and thinks its doubtful. I would suspect that they will still be able to show up in other worlds where it would be like seeing a Get Famous celebrity out and about. Of course then they will do push ups and destroy your immersion but hey you can't have everything!

I might have this wrong, but I think I read that there will be nothing automatic with the nobility career. It seems that we will be fully in control. Even promotions will need us to actively arrange the promortion (probably clicking on a throne object).
As for co-workers, I assume this career will be different from other careers. Commoners and Nobility seem to play an important part in this, as the sim in the nobility career will need to make decisions that can only please one of those groups. How well liked your sim is might trigger reactions from people on the street. I don't think we have this for any other career, but of course for famous sims.
I'm really looking forward to many of the new features.
