Turning off Seasons decorations on random lots?

Is there a way to stop the game from generating random decorations (like banners and lights) on community lots or unplayed household lots? I got seasons a few months ago and have noticed that around t...

I hear you....I'm not a fan either

Irritating, I know - but I usually just go into the lot, get the attic deco crate thingy and put them away

Maybe changing the season to summer would do it automatically....not sure?
