TV channels hints or troll (¬‿¬ )

sooooooo let's talk about those new TV channels from the livestream! Hints or trolling?
The guy fixing up the place was my dream decor pack lol. That's more of what I was hoping this new pack would be. But! I was thinking. If they made this channel with sims 4 sims then doesn't that mean they already have the animations for it? Sooooooo if they already have the animations for it doesn't that mean they could use it to actually bring to the game?

plus the guy with the farming accent!!! Like that was such a tease on farming. No way they made a whole new accent just for a TV channel??
The cars, the meteors and more!!! What do you guys think? :D

I love the idea that they'll give us farms, horseriding, cars and fairies in one pack, but I'm going to temper my expectations. Now I want tractors, though.

Absolutely hoping for farms with Cars and/or Horses over Faries. I want Faries in their own pack.

Same. I want fairies with their own fairy realm in their own game pack. Hearing about the potential for farming mixed with fairies makes me very nervous that neither of those themes will be very good!

The problem is that, although themes tend to be done a lot more shallowly when they're all in a pack together, they do get better integration with each other. Maxis rarely revisits the same theme twice, and they don't generally have packs that tie in with other packs - especially after what happened with My First Pet Stuff. If they do make a pack that ties in really closely with another pack, they're accused of doing DLC for DLC - if they're not trying to do that, but still trying to make packs work interestingly with other packs, they're spending time and money on features that people may never see, which to them or EA is probably seen as wasting money. I want all the themes I like to be done in a really in-depth, featured-filled way - but I also find those themes more meaningful when they tie in with other systems, and have an impact on them. I want horses to be done in a really complete way, with activities for people who want showjumping and horse-racing and don't even care about farming - but I also want them to be a part of farming, for me, because I think the two things work really well together. And the same with fairies - while I completely understand people wanting them to be their own pack, it also means they might never have the impact on whatever 'nature' systems are coming with this new pack that they would have if they were part of it, which might also be disappointing.

So it comes down to, do I want more features, or do I want integrated systems? It gets really tricky. And I don't think the Sims team will ever give us something that fulfills both side of that satisfactorily - I don't think, given the costs of game development now, that they even could give us that stuff for £40 (in England), on the budget they're probably on. It's hard to know what I want out of a pack sometimes.
