Twins and Triplets

You could lock one of the babies in the basement and wait for it to be taken away. Then you would only have one baby >:)

One of my Sims had twin boys with his ex girlfriend and then had twin boys with the current wife...UGH really two sets of twin boys. Just before this last birth of twin boys, another sim had a set of twin girls....sheesh.

OMgosh my current main save has been full of multiples too! The very first pregnancy was twins, and I wonder if having multiples makes it more likely to have multiples later on? Like, it runs in the family or something? I can't imagine the Sims is that sophisticated, but so far I've had twins, then triplets and twins, then three sets of twins and two sets of triplets, and now in my current generation I've already had another set of twins. I've had eight single births as well, many more in the later generations so maybe it's slowing down. Still, that means out of 17 pregnancies, 9 have bean multiples. That's over 50% which seems...not right, lol.

I don't mind having multiples, but it seems like that should be a rare occurrence. In real life, likelyhood of twins is only 1 in a hundred, and triplets is closer to 1 in a thousand. I don't mind upping that--maybe 1 in ten, or twenty, for twins, and 1 in fifty or a hundred for triplets--but what's happening now seems WAY above that.

I totally agree and I am at the point of my generations where sims are having kids and I am dreading it. The last birth I just had in game...TWIN BOYS omg I am soooo tired of twins and triplets. There is no space for all these twins and triplets. I was going to have some oops pregnancies but I am afraid of getting multiples.

@SimGuruNick Sorry to be a pain but you are the only one I know that works on this stuff. Can you look into this?

Not sure if you can set the chance yourself but you can set max allowable offspring to 1 with MCCC and you'll no longer end up with with multiples.

yeah I don't use MCCC. I was checking to see if there was a mod out there other than MCCC to help with this. I don't like the story progression and a lot of other things included in the MCCC mod. Thanks for the suggestion though :)

Yeah it is very in-depth so you've got to go through all the numerous settings to make sure stuff you don't want is enabled. Seems most simple mods for this are outdated, sadly. . . You could check out the Pregnancy Mega Mod by arturlwww but that's got a fair amount of bells and whistles too.
