Ugh, Family Moodlet

I haven't had this happen yet as none of my teens have grown into YA since parenthood, but if it was due to that pack I'd say it's from uncontrolled emotions. My teen has had this as a phase, so would make sense for it to come as a trait emotion as YA.

i think it depends on the relationship they had with their family when they were younger. And I believe it is from parenthood, yes, but it's not from the traits. I think it's from the relationship bits they get with their parents
my sim had a very good relationship with both of his parents and gets a happy moodlet from being around them that says "Just like old times" or something like that. it's cute :D

My teenage Sim gets this moodlet around her mother, whom she now hates because she (the mother) broke her beloved dad's heart by cheating on him... I find it most appropriate!

Look into the relationship panel. The special relationships will be formed with parents, siblings and grandparents.
If sim has a negative relationship like Unhappy Childhood, then this is the reason why it is happening.

OMG, I am grown and there are times I can so relate to the moodlet :D

I hope they will update this now when we have “sentiments” and add “lifelong” sentiments (that´s not fade unless you do not work on them =reconciliation). That way the sims can instead get a “lifelong” sentiment (unhelpful parent/helpful parent = negative/positive sentiment) to a parent when they grow up and chose to get rid of the sentiment by trying to forgive/confront the parent.

Hmm yeah I'll admit his childhood wasn't a whole lot of fun, so I do get why he feels this way. :D I'm actually quite happy with it since it fits the story I'm playing really well, but since his relationship with his mom, while not very high, was still friendly, I was surprised to see it come up when he sees her too. So he'll probably hate me now for moving him into an apartment right next to the 'rents. :sweat_smile: Thanks for the replies!

ohhh! I haven't had a family with poor relationships yet, so that's good to know. I guess thinking about it, the one family who doesn't have strong ties w/ each other never get the old times moodlet... huh! Neat! :smile:
