- afai12618 years agoSeasoned AceI often edit my females when they age up into teens but tend to leave my males alone. Except for my alien hybrid. He's currently a cute child, but I know he's going to look rather strange when he ages up.
I also changed the human disguise of one of my born in game full-blooded aliens, but it was justified in my mind as he can completely change his disguise at will. - kuhpflanzen8 years agoSeasoned Acei always edit any children born in-game with cas.fulleditmode because they're always weird looking and only vaguely look like their parents.
it seems like the game genetics are incapable of recreating any unique features you give the parents and just give the child whatever presets you used as the base instead, in my experience at least. - Kayfaei8 years agoRising AceI love diversity in my game so no I do not turn a ugly sim into a pretty sim ( as in actually changing their body/ face features) I do add make up and custom content though to exchance their looks.
One thing I am guilty of though if I have two sims and one is light skinned and the other is dark skinned and the game doesn't really pick a skin tone in the middle but a clone copy of either parents color. I actually delete the toddler and play with gentics in CAS. Clicking on the DNA tool to "recreate" their child.
My poor sims never know that the baby they carried and birthed at the hospital may or may not be the same baby. o:) "Slyvanas;c-16523428" wrote:

Neither do I, but I insist that my sims' offspring resemble human beings. :)- The problem of ugly kids was pretty much solved the day I bought Sims 4 and got rid of the pudding-faces. All my kids are cute, whether genetic or adopted.
- ladybreid8 years agoSeasoned AceI've never had any that are really ugly. I like to fix them up but only as is. I like saying, ok what hair will work on THAT face the best?
- I might do a little tweaking if they have crazy eyes, weirdly shaped lips or they have a weird body shape but I don't like to change their looks completely.
- Kittybass8 years agoSeasoned AceIn my current household I had a couple who didn't look bad individually but their kids came out hideous and two had some serious facial distortions going on. Those two kids had tiny heads and no chins, and one of them had incredibly distorted lips. They had 3 kids total and all 3 of them had very saggy chests, no waists, and pot bellies. While one parent had a big chin and the other had a small one, neither parent had these particular issues with tiny heads and saggy chests and pot bellies. I fixed those issues as best I could without making them not look like "them" as for the most part I don't change anything, but the kids from this couple needed major help.
- fruitsbasket1008 years agoSeasoned AceI just leave them. I don't like messing with the genetics.
- If they turn into hideous teens, I usually do some minor touch ups. Like change the mouth or nose or eyes, but I don’t mess with like the face shape, hair or body type.
