Uh, Not Sure This is How "Beguile" is Supposed to Work LOL

My sim Casey has a soulmate aspiration, and he had a lot of aspiration points to spend. I purchased the "Beguiling" trait for him as a reward. I thought it was great that he could "beguile" his wife and immediately put her into a flirty mood. So, he asked her out on a date, and they headed to a bar. At first, of course, they sat outside and talked, had deep conversations, told a few jokes (thanks EA for making every date exactly the same -- sarcasm included free of charge), and then once the date reached the gold level, Casey got up to get a drink from the bar. He came back to find his flirty wife flirting with another man. He sat down beside her, tried to get her attention again, but she just kept flirting with the other man. Casey finally got up and walked away. So much for his "beguiling" trait, eh!

I thought it was hilarious. I wanted to pass on the info to let other players know that if you use the beguiling trait on somebody, you might want to make sure your couple is alone. :)

If I were on a date and was "beguiled" by someone, and he went to the bathroom, I wouldn't turn around and also somehow be beguiled by the lump sitting across the way. That's not how "beguiled" should work. It should be like a magic spell that makes the Sim attracted to you in particular, not anyone and everyone.

I agree. It should make other sims ATTRACTED to that particular sim, not just put them in a flirty mood.

The animation of the sim with the reward trait shooting the target sim is very short. The target sim instantly becomes flirty for four hours (from memory!).

I agree too! This would make the reward trait a lot more fun to use.

Exactly. For my sims, it turned into a disaster, really. Once his wife started flirting with another sim, he became enraged. I clicked to send them both home, but she actually stayed behind LOL. Casey went home and stomped around the house. What was intended to be a romantic date almost destroyed their marriage.
  • To be honest, I love this Trait. I don't think it would be good to have for a simple that you don't want to cheat on their spouse. But if you're making your sim a cheater or have the serial romantic trait then it is worth the 2500 points.

Not Simple I met sim, stupid auto correct ?
