How DARE he! Genesis is Derek's wife and the mother of his children! Who is this guy? What is this game???

I just looked he's some random elder that Derek came across once in passing who never even met Genesis. If some random event like this is going to happen, can they at least make it make sense and have the Sim that's talking trash at least have met the Sim they are trashing on?

This game makes no sense but that's what makes it fun. XD
