Unable to give out residence keys?

I have been going out of my mind for weeks now because of not being able to find the option to give sims a residence key. Even went so far as to go through a full reset of my game with no luck. So I went through different households, even ones that I do not play. A few sims were able to give out the keys and others were not. 

So today, I was sitting here banging my head over it again, as it is one of my favorite things. I am used to it being found under friendly then more choices. And that is where it was on the sims that were able to give them out.  Then I started looking through additional options in the friendly social menu and found it in in the getaways options. 

So for anyone else that might be having this same problem, look in both places and hopefully you will find it in one or the other the same as I did. It has been absolutely maddening 🤯
